Home Visits Behavioural Consultation

At Dogs Country Club, we understand that not all dog owners are able to come to our physical location for behavioural consultations. That's why we also offer home consultations for those who may have difficulty traveling or find it more convenient to have the consultation in their own home.

Our team of professionals will come to your home and assess your dog's behaviour in their familiar environment. This allows us to better understand any underlying issues and provide tailored recommendations for behaviour modification. We also offer in-home training sessions for those who prefer one-on-one attention for their dog.

Each behaviour consultation lasts for 2 hours, divided into two 60-minute sessions.

  • First session: 1 hour, at Home Visit available in selected cases.
  • Second session: 1 hour, either on-site at Dogs Country Club or remote, whenever possible. Receive a personalised comprehensive behaviour report including a review and in-depth discussion of the modification and action plan.
  • Allow a week between First session and Second session.
  • Follow-up sessions are optional but may be advised depending on your dog's needs.

Canine behaviour consultations involve a thorough assessment of the dog's history, careful observation of their behaviour and environment, and collaborative efforts with the owner to create a personalized behaviour training plan. This may include making adjustments to the environment, implementing effective training techniques, and incorporating behavioural modification exercises. We are dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based solutions for addressing behaviour issues in dogs. The approach centres around understanding the dog's perspective and identifying the root cause of the problem, rather than merely treating the symptoms. You will receive a certified comprehensive assessment report and a written plan detailing how to address these behaviours. Rest assured that our goal is to deliver the best possible outcomes for you and your beloved pet.

Do I need a Veterinary Referral for Behavioral Consultations?

Yes, a veterinary referral is required for all behaviour consultations. This is due to a strong link between health and behaviour and the need to consider all possible contributing factors. Behaviour problems can be the first indication of a physical problem and this needs to be ruled out prior to starting behaviour modification. A referral form from your vets must be received at the time of booking in order to proceed with your appointment.
